Reasons to leave during lockdown

Remember that you can leave your home if you are experiencing domestic abuse.

Local refuges that can be accessed during lockdown:

York and North Yorkshire: 

Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) - The refuge in York can accommodate women and children. There's also dispersed housing in Scarborough and Harrogate for men. Phone: 03000 110 110.

Leeds:

Leeds Domestic Violence Service - Safe and secure emergency accommodation if you are experiencing domestic abuse. Phone: 0113 246 0401.

Bradford:

Bradford Cyrenians - Housing and support for men who are experiencing domestic abuse. Phone: 0300 303 0167.

Anah Project - A linguistically diverse service and safe house for women where they are supported and secure. Phone: 0845 960 6011. 

Wakefield: 

Wakefield District Domestic Abuse Service - More information and support for those experiencing domestic abuse in the Wakefield District. Phone: 0800 915 1561. 

Hull: 

Hull Domestic Abuse Partnership - More information and support for those experiencing domestic abuse in the Wakefield District. Includes information on the Hull Women's Aid refuge. Phone: 01482 318 759. 

Rotherham:

Rotherham RISE - Refuge for women experiencing domestic abuse in Rotherham. They also provide advice and support to men who are experiencing domestic abuse. Phone: 0330 202 0571. 

Accessing domestic abuse services as a Trans or Non Binary person can be difficult. If you need any support or advice around this, please contact GALOP or your local Yorkshire MESMAC worker.
