Cookie Statement

How MESMAC uses cookies on this website, the types of cookies we set and how you can manage your cookie preferences.

This statement explains what cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) MESMAC uses on this website, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, plus optional analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used — nothing more.

Last updated: July 2026.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to give the website owner information about how the site is used.

When you first visit this website, a banner lets you choose which optional cookies to allow: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences to switch individual categories on or off.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, which reopens the same choices. You can also control or delete cookies directly through your browser — see “Managing cookies in your browser” below.

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and can't be switched off. They're only ever set in response to actions you take, such as filling in a form or booking an appointment.

CRAFT_CSRF_TOKENmesmac.co.ukProtects our forms (booking, contact, call-back requests) against cross-site request forgery.Session
mesmac_cookie_consentmesmac.co.ukRemembers your cookie preferences so we don't ask again on every visit.6 months

We also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly alternative to CAPTCHA, to protect our forms and the booking system from spam and abuse. This is considered strictly necessary and runs regardless of your analytics choice below.

Local storage

As well as cookies, we use one item of browser local storage, a similar technology that isn't sent to our server:

campaign:<id>Remembers that you've closed a promotional banner (for example, about an upcoming campaign), so we don't show it to you again. It doesn't identify you or track your activity, and isn't shared with anyone.Until you clear your browser data

Analytics cookies

With your permission, we use the following services to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. These only run if you choose “Accept all”, or switch Analytics on under “Manage preferences”.

Third-party embedded content

Some pages include content from other websites, such as maps and videos. These load directly from the provider and may set their own cookies, which we don't control — this happens whether or not you've accepted analytics cookies, since it comes from viewing the embedded content itself.

  • Google Maps — used on our Areas pages to show clinic locations and directions.
  • YouTube / Vimeo — used wherever we've embedded video content.

See Google's cookie policy or the relevant provider's own privacy policy for more information.

Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them individually, or block cookies from particular or all websites. The method varies by browser — see your browser's help pages for exact instructions:

Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site — such as booking a test or submitting a form — from working correctly.

Changes to this statement

We may update this statement from time to time, for example if we add a new service or change how we use cookies. Please check back periodically for the latest version.
