Condoms and Lube

Yorkshire MESMAC supplies free condoms and lube to communities in Leeds, Bradford, Hull and Rotherham.

You can get our condoms and lube from your local scene venue (gay pubs and clubs), saunas, cottages and cruising areas, your local Yorkshire MESMAC office or by post, all free of charge.

We can supply trim, standard and large latex condoms. They are all branded with the kitemark and/or CE mark for quality. They are safe to use for vaginal, oral and/or anal sex.

We don't supply flavoured lube, other specialist lube such as silicone based lube, ribbed condoms or Durex condoms. We cannot send condoms outside of the areas that we cover.

Unfortunately we are no longer able to send out latex king size, latex free and latex free large condoms in the post. Please contact your local office for advice if you require these.

Our condoms are posted out to you monthly and contain either 6 or 12 condoms and optional sachets of lube.

This service is available to the following people who are 18 years or older:

BAME communities, trans people, and men who have sex with men.

In the following areas:

• Leeds
• Bradford
• Hull
• Rotherham

*(Note Leeds offers this service to sex workers as well)

Postal Condom Service is temporarily suspended.

Unfortunately due to an issue with Royal Mail collections, and the effect that this is having on our service processes, we need to temporarily suspend the postal condom service.

For the time being we will not be posting out any condoms, nor will we be accepting any new requests.

We hope to resolve this issue soon but apologise for the inconvenience.

What lube should I use?
When you don't use enough lube, or use the wrong kind, the likelihood of condom failure is increased, making transmission of HIV and other STIs possible.

You should use:

• Water-based lubes (e.g. K-Y, Wet Stuff and ID Glide)
• silicone-based lubes (Eros Bodyglide and Liquid Silk).

You shouldn’t use:

• Oil-based lubricants like cooking oil, moisturisers, sun lotions, baby oil, butter, Crisco, Elbow Grease, etc
• It can also cause latex condoms to break
• However, they can be used with non-latex condoms, like Durex Avanti, Mates Skyn or Pasante Unique
• Don’t use spit as it dries up quickly and increases the chance of your condom tearing.
