LGB&T (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) youth groups can be a safe space to meet and socialise with other young people who might be going through similar experiences to you. They may also offer support services. Yorkshire MESMAC staff around the region can:  

 
• Talk to you in confidence about sexual orientation and sexual health and any connected issues such as; homophobic bullying or hate crime.
• Provide you with information and free safer sex resources.
• Tell you about what is going on in your local area for young LGB&T people including groups and events.
• Signpost you to other appropriate services if necessary.
• In some areas offer LGB&T youth groups

A youth group open to all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Questioning young people aged between 13-25 years old. This group meets every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.45 to 7.45pm in a central Leeds location. Activites include befriending, social events, discussions, support, health and safer sex information, help with benefits. The youth worker can meet up for 1 to 1 support available by appointment on a Tuesday afternoon.
