Charity Speed Dating in Leeds Blayds bar Thursday 30th April.
It’s been a long time since Leeds has seen a gay speed dating night, and now here’s one that seems to have its priorities in the right place. It will be run solely by volunteers, all of the proceeds will go to charity, and the emphasis will be on having fun not just meeting Mr/Mrs right. Unlike most speed dating events you’ll get your results at the end of the night before everyone goes home, and as for those wanting a little extra Dutch Courage the bar will be open throughout!
“We’re very excited about this event” explains John Milner from MESMAC, “and we hope that the events will receive support from the gay community, and that everyone brave enough to come along will leave with a smile on their face, and maybe a few extra numbers in their little black books!”
Based upstairs at the newly renovated Blayds bar, the first event will be men only and will be held on Thursday 30th April and thereafter, the last Thursday of every month. Entry will be £8 on the door with all proceeds going to Yorkshire MESMAC. The number of women’s events will depend on interest. Places will be limited so to find out more, to register your interest or to book a place please email speeddating@mesmac.co.uk.
